This notebook analyzes changes in gene expression after silencing of the Hippo pathway tumor suppressors LATS1 and LATS2, which are present in the MCF-10A cell line and whose downregulation may play a part in breast cancer development. Gene Ontology Enrichment analysis and Pathway Enrichment analysis suggest significant upregulation of type I interferon alpha/beta signaling, as well as negative regulation of viral genome replication. ChEA, ENCODE and coexpressed gene Transcription Factor Enrichment Analysis seem to confirm upregulation of interferon regulatory factors such as STAT1 and STAT2. Visualization tools such as Principal Component Analysis, Clustergrammer heatmaps, and Volcano Plots are provided, as well as Differential Expression and Library Size analysis.
