larval ventral ganglion Gene Set

Dataset TISSUES Text-mining Tissue Protein Expression Evidence Scores
Category structural or functional annotations
Type tissue
Description Abdominal neuromere of the larva. The larval ventral ganglion is less complex than the brain, consists of a smaller number of neurons and shows in general a homomeric composition. Despite its reduced complexity, the larval ventral ganglion possesses peptidergic interneurons as well as neurosecretory cells producing peptide hormones, and receives sensory inputs of different modalities.
